Default Any holiday plans?

where are you going on holiday this year?

we are going to a campsite near paris with keycamp in june (did a bit of bartering and dropped the price by £150!!! woohoo) its an hour away from eurodisney so we'll go for a day and paris is an hour the other way so we'll go there for a day (this is more for my benefit- shopping!!!).

then after 10 days there we are driving over to my dads house in brittany for 4 nights. Promised we would.

If anybody's planning a trip to france use www.speedferries.com, we are and they are only £50 return dover-boulogne all year round and only a 50min crossing.

That sounds great Emma, I bet the kiddies are gonna enjoy Eurodisney, I'm not sure but I think you might be able to get either Pre-book tickets or promotion tickets for entry, should save you some euro's. I went a while back and remeber the price at the gates on the day was about £28 per person!

Shopping in Paris, are you secretly looking for that designer wedding dress? the sales are quite good, I went with a friend, and she got a silk Jacket and skirt suit for about £65 in the sale, it was really lovely, she still wears it now, very well made.

How cool your dad has a place in Brittany, do you have anything planned there? will you be meeting up with your dad?

With buying the house this year and DH working 24/7 till August I dont think we will be having a holiday, we have no plans for now, I dont think we could afford it! If we do, it'll probably be Turkey again without DH.

Holidays? I remember those, we used to take them pre-kids.

DH is saving his leave for obvious reasons this year, so we won't be doing anything more exciting than visiting his parents. One lives in Eastbourne and the other in Blackpool, so at least it's the seaside!

Emma - I hope you have a great time. Sounds like you got a good deal too. The last time I went to France was a romantic weekend in Paris for my birthday a few years back. You guessed it - before kids!

Sounds like everyone's got great holiday plans! Emma - hope you enjoy EuroDisney, have you been before? We used to go every October for my daughters birthday (always falls in the half term). Sounds like you got a great price, we go by Shuttle...drive the car in, 30mins and you're in Calais. Definitely the best option when you have kids.

We're planning Center Parcs again this year...it's so great when you have kids, especially when they're different ages. Hopefully Jamie will be more co-operative this year. We're also hoping to go to Ireland in May for my niece's First Communion, just for the weekend, although my eldest leaves school the week after, and I'm terrified of taking the kids on the plane, so we're still contemplating that one.
