Are your states taking Katrina refugees???

I just read in the paper that we are taking 600 in Indianapolis alone. Can you imagine being so far from home??? It's a terrible situation and I hope that the rebuilding goes quicker than expected.

Ohio is taking 1,000 so far. approx 300 + to each of the major cities of Cincinnati, Columbus and Cleveland.

I think that MN we are taking 3,000 at Camp Ripley.

In Wichita we're getting about 500 on Monday. That's a lot less, they were estimating about 1800 before. I think the whole state is getting about 4000, not sure since they lowered the number coming here though.
