i'm sure it's just because it's new and i can't figure my way around here, but i seem to be having an incredible amount of difficulty with this new board. it's pokey as anything. it may or may not load for me at any given moment. it won't let me log out. i can't figure out how to get back to the main page once i post. i can't work the signature thing. and, to add insult to injury, my favorite emoticon is gone.

i'm sure i'll come around, but right now i'm a little displeased with this new environment.

perhaps one of you can tutor me on this place....

i've heard from several people that they are still working out a lot of the kinks, so that's why the boards are so slow. supposedly if we give it a few more days it will be smooth sailing . . . we'll see!

i'm not sure how far you got with your signature, so i'll try to explain it how i did it and let me know if you have any more questions/specific questions. when you are reading a post, there's the grey bar that goes across the screen. click on "user CP". then you should get a list over on the left side where you can edit a bunch of stuff and click on "edit signature". for some reason you can't copy and paste your signature from the other boards, so you have to start over and i ended up doing one thing at a time and then using the "preview" option to see what was going on. i had a hard time figuring out how to add my pregnancy ticker, but if you move all the way to the right from the bold/italic/underlined section there are buttons where you can add pictures or links. does that help any?

just out of curiousity - what was your fave emoticon? have you tried putting it in your post anyway? maybe it would pop up because i know some people on the due in october board just insert random faces from other websites.
