good clean fun....

hey guys ~~ perhaps you can help me brainstorm some ideas....

a friend of mine and her 2.5 yo and 1 yo are coming into town (omaha) next week and we're looking for some fun things to do with the kids. so that's two adults, two 2.5 yo's, one 13 mo old and an 8 mo old. of course there's the zoo and the children's museum and we're even thinking of just staying at my house and doing the whole backyard pool/swingset/sidewalk chalk/bubbles/crafts thing one day. can you help me think of some other fun, age appropriate things to do??

she mentioned a gymboree class one day, but i think the kids would be in seperate classes by their ages? isn't that right?? anyway, HELP!! what do you think would be fun?? btw, nothing is off limits. even ideas for the "stay at home" day would be great -- crafty people...HELP!! or are there some cool places that i don't know about?? a really cool park?? the best mcdonald's playland?? anything is helpful....

also, she lives in lincoln, so i may go down there a couple days. anything especially cool in lincoln??

when i worked at a daycare here in town, we took all age groups on various field trips during the summer (well, not infants, but everyone else), but i can't remember any specifics. maybe you could contact a day care and ask if they do any field trips for toddlers and get some ideas from there? otherwise my experience is more "fun things to do with older kids", so i'm not much help. good luck, but it sounds like you have some good ideas already!
