Anyway, I think ovulation looks obvious on my chart, but yet I still have no crosshairs. It's been several years since I charted last, so I don't remember where the temps have to be for 3 days to get the crosshairs.

Hi Lisa!

I think you don't have cross-hairs b/c although you had a jump in temps, many things contradict that one jump.

-Your last OPK was on CD#15 when your temp was already high, normally ovulation happens 1 or 2 days after a + OPK
-You have EWCM and spotting on CD#11 which could indicate O but your temp didn't jump until 3 days after that.
-Your temps on CD #9 #10 & #11 are quite high, they are in the same range as your temps are now, they are only followed by a couple of lower temps. It's possible it's high b/c of the clomid but it "usually" drops or starts a downward trend right after your last pill.

I would try to pin down when your darkest OPK was. You may get a few darker tests but it's only the DARKEST one will be your +. Also make sure to take the test in the evening, maybe even take one in the mid morning and one in the early evening... Never take an OPK w/ FMU and do try to take it at the same time every day.

Try to get a good internal sample of CM from your cervix. It's possible you are missing your patches of W and EWCM. Temp through your period to see your natural progression of temps from AF, through taking clomid, through taking your last pill of clomid and your transition to lower pre O temps to higher post O temps.... Lastly, try DTD every other day starting a day or 2 after your last dose of clomid. You can only do so many cy's of clomid and you don't know when you O so IMO this is sometimes the only way to catch that illusive egg

I think my problem with the higher temps pre - ovulation is the fact that I am up and down with my 15 month old son at night. My temps never go any higher than where they are now, unless I get a fever or something. It's so strange!

Lisa - you might benefit from temping vaginally next cycle - might help even out the temps, especially when you wake up a lot.

While you may have O'd, you don't have crosshairs because your chart does not currently look like an ovulatory chart - your post+OPK temps are the same as your pre +OPK temps.
If you think you O'd but you can't get a good read from the temps, I'd see if your doctor will check your progesterone level and see if he/she can confirm O.
