Default Old timer thinking of charting again...Help!

I haven't been ttc very hard but lately I had 2 of my friends pop up preggo and I started thinking Man, it would be nice to be preggo again Like it would happen that easy for me....

If I do not get preggo sometime this year then we are moving onto adoption (state adoption). This was what we were doing before I popped up preggo (surprise) with dd. Was hoping that lighting would strike twice but I don't have nother 5 yrs. to wait for the storm...lol

Anyway I was thinking of temping again but the reason I stopped (oh so long ago) was because one morning when I took my temp it was still high, 98.? and went to the bathroom and there was AF waving hello . I was like WTH, so after that I lost faith in temping but now am thinking about using it along with my fertility monitor which also hasn't been very truthful with me

So I need to know for one, why would I get a high reading and still get AF? Was that just a fluke? I had been temping for years so know pretty well what I am doing (I think), also wanted to know about how many hours of sleep one needs. Some nights I only get about 5 hours (I Ebay at night) so was wondering if it would give me an accurate reading?

Guess that's it for now but I'm sure I will have more ?

Thanks ladies

Hi!

Charting could really help you figure things out right now! I say if you already know how to chart it's nothing to take a temp in the am... and well, keep an eye out for EWCM. LOL!

So I need to know for one, why would I get a high reading and still get AF?
And I dug something up for you about this...

Bleeding could occur while the BBT is high for any of several reasons. It could be staying up during AF because of an infection or illness. If you are pregnant, you could have implantation bleeding. In that case, it will not fall after the bleeding stops. If your BBT is up for the first few days of AF and then falls, it is called "irregular shedding". This is common in the premenopausal years. In younger women, it is a sign of luteal phase inadequacy.

There is always a reason for your temps doing what they do, although we don't always like to see what they do If you need more info on high temps for AF... Let me know and I'll see what I can do!
