Default March TTC Newsletter

According to the early Roman calendar, March was the first month and was called Martius.

St. Patrick’s Day is observed on March 17 because that is the feast day of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. It is believed that he died on March 17 in the year 461 AD. It is also a worldwide celebration of Irish culture and history. St. Patrick’s Day is a national holiday in Ireland, and a provincial holiday in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the highest number of leaves found on a clover is 14!

In Ireland on St. Patrick’s Day, people traditionally wear a small bunch of shamrocks on their jackets or caps. Children wear orange, white and green badges, and women and girls wear green ribbons in their hair.

St. Patrick was born in 385 AD somewhere along the west coast of Britain, possibly in the Welsh town of Banwen. At age 16, he was captured and sold into slavery to a sheep farmer. He escaped when he was 22 and spent the next 12 years in a monastery. In his 30s he returned to Ireland as a Christian missionary. He died at Saul in 461 AD and is buried at Downpatrick.

The bloodstone and aquamarine are the birthstones for March.

This month's Member of the Month is Mommy524 (Karen). Her nick is because she became a mommy on 5/24 to her beautiful DD. She started on the Femara board back in January of 2007. Then that board died out and she wasn't on Femara anymore anyway, she found Cycle Buddies, and everyone has been so great. Its good to have someone to vent to that is going through the same issues.

It will be her 10th year wedding anniversary with her DH this June and they've been together a total of 13 years. They met at a friends party, went to dinner the next night and she believes they saw each other every day after. She moved in with him 8 months later and he proposed after a year. They have been ttc #2 for over 4 years. They have been doing injectables on and off. They got a bfp in 2007 but it ended in a ectopic pregnancy and she lost her right tube. Then they had a chemical preg. two months after that. Right now they're doing the natural thing. She would love a sibling for her dd, but if God only wants her to have one she feels so very blessed with her. She is everything to Karen and her DH.

Karen and her DH love laughing and talking together. Spending time with their daughter. They love camping and the outdoors.
This spring Karen is looking forward to an Easter spent in Florida to hang out at the beach for a week. She can't wait to get out of this cold, cold weather.
