Default Tell me I'm not the only one

My tree is not up yet, and I'm not even positive we'll get it done this weekend. I really don't have that much fun putting it up or taking it down, and I'm not looking forward to shooing the kids away from it every 30 seconds for the next couple of weeks. I've been stalling. Someone kick my butt. On the other hand though, I am way further ahead with my Christmas shopping than I usually am.

Haven't even bought ours yet.

We are planning to go buy it this weekend. Alex was never a problem with the tree. Samantha...lordy, lordy, lordy...she will be the end of me! She just mastered crawling about 2 weeks ago, things could get ugly.

We put ours up on the 27th.. With us being away for Xmas, i didn't want to wait until after dh's business trip (ie this weekend) to have it up for a little over a week before we would have to at least strip it of any breakables before leaving on the 22nd.

Well, the tree is up but no decorations! I can only put Calleigh down for a few minutes so things only get done half-a$$ed around here!!!

Okay, so I accomplished getting the tree put together this evening. The kids were still up and DH was cleaning so it took awhile and now my hands are all full of those mini-nicks that 'floofing the branches' always gives me. We decided to go buy some plastic ornaments tomorrow though, because we both know Marisa very well, and those things are NOT going to stay out of her curious, mischievous little fingers. No way. Like Alex, Joshua wasn't a big problem with the tree, but his sister is another story. Have they invented a tree yet where you push a button and it completely sets itself up, decorations and all? If you haven't noticed, I like LOOKING at the tree, but don't care much for anything else about it.

I saw a tree like the 'magic' setting itself up one you are talking about at Zellers last year. It didn't look the best but after the kids are done with mine it doesn't look that great either.

Put me in the hates to fluff and decorate the tree group. I miss having a real tree and the only one that helps to decorate is Keegan so I am doing double the work I have been telling him stories of his first three Christmases everytime I get to one of his ornaments though, that is the only fun thing. So, to answer your first question, the tree has been up for a week and I am still not done with it, maybe today
