Icon5 Speaking of trees

Ever since we were married we do a monochromatic tree...all silver and white or clear decorations, with white lights. I'm still not sick of the combination, I love the way it looks. What do you do? I like really colourful trees, too, but not quite as much as my silver one.

Oh, and I was all dreamy about a real tree the first few years but then realized I had more to do than vaccuum needles on a daily basis...and that was before I had kids. So we bought a very nice fake one and I'm very happy with that. You?

We have a fake one, and as colorful as it can get, I love 2-3 tones but dh is set on all colors possible and I don't mind. We should post pics of our trees :-) I'll try to think about uploading it from home this week.

I put in 800 lights this year...in a few years we will buy one with lights in it already, my thumb is sore for a week after that I cannot let dh help with the lights, I'm too 'Anal' it has to be on each and every (almost every) branches. The decorations have to be even, not 2 red ones beside each other! hee hee!

We have a pretty colourful tree.. Fake of course. silver bead garland, purple ball ordaments, and then various other ones that we have bought together. And then multicoloured lights. Love the colour. If we ever get the money to replace, i want a silver and blue theme tree.

My tree has red lights now, we did have the clear in the past. It had a red and gold theme and then we started to get a ton of hallmark ornaments so there was no longer room for my gold and red ribbon but I am still putting the bows on. Alot of the decorations are close to the bottom of the tree because Keegan was so excited to decorate. I am bad about wanting it to look perfect but I am trying to change that about myself.

I insist on a real tree...dh has almost convinced me to go the artificial route. Haven't caved yet, but may next year (that's what I always say ). Love the smell of Christmas tree in the house, pine needles on the floor be damned!

We have white lights in it, with all sort of decorations, stuff that he had been given from his parents and stuff we have bought together. Since we have been married, I have given DH an ornament (or 2) every Christmas in his stocking.

Of course, the real feat this year will be keeping Samantha away from it. So far, so good but it's early still.

RoseAnne, I was admiring the ornament you sent me last year in the exchange. I love it. Too bad we didn't think of doing that again this year.
