Icon8 I need to vent...

Why is it that parents ruin the sports for their kids??? I am sooooo sick of parents butting in when they don't know the entire situation. Do they go to the source...NO. They rally angst among others and then blow up the situation. We are trying to teach our children to be up front and talk instead of freaking out . But then they see parents verbally attacking each other. I am not one for confrontation but I have had it. These parents who have never even played the sport, who haven't a clue as to what goes on on the bench are the first to start something. The coaches are VOLUNTEERS!!! They are not in it for $$$. They are the ones who have stepped up to the plate and given up their time 3+ times a week to work with these kids. And what happens.... @#$% from the parents.
Michelle.

p.s. That was theraputic. The smilies really help. for listening.

Sounds like you have had a bad experience. It seems that alot of parents can get a little out of hand. It does ruin the fun doesn't it.

That is really sad. I really don't want to see the same thing in person, but it probably will happen. So far we've been through one season of soccer with Joshua, and it was actually a good experience as far as everyone co-operating goes, thank goodness. Getting Joshua to actually go out on the field, that's another matter entirely.

Hopefully those parents can smarten up, grow up, and shut up.
