Re: Hi there-may I join?
You are more than welcome, Anita. Finally, I think we're here to stay. Happy birthday to Little Miss Emmy.
So tell me, how was the transition from 2 to 3? The transition from 1 to 2 kids has been so brutal in our house (Marisa is mega high-needs) that I'm completely scared to have another one, even though 3 has been our plan forever. I've heard many places though that the third and subsequent children join the family much more smoothly, which I'm hoping is true. (Because you and the first 2 kids are used to splitting time, etc)
Emily is such a cutie! hope we get to see pics of your other kids too!!
I'm Christine and from NB, I'm expecting #2 anyday..well still a few days until my due date but I just hope that this full moon this weekend make things move!!
RoseAnne: Ah yes, the transition. Well for the most part it was smooth because I kind of knew what to expect but man was I ever rusty with a newborn. My oldest did the best with it, he is a big helper and adores his little brother, Emmy on the otherhand, well she is a DIVA by nature so she is still adjusting.
I am glad though, that Emmy is getting used to life not being the baby anymore. She seemed to be content to be the baby forever, but now she is more verbal and communicative and also more independent for the most part.
Best thing ever, try and schedule time/activities for the kids on an individual basis so that they are able to develop themselves instead of having the baby run the family in the beginning.
Matthew is in preschool and I am so glad we put him in there, despite the extra effort required to get all three kids, up, fed and dressed to take him there every second morning and picking him up in the afternoon. Now I just need to find something for Emmy.
Whew-I went off on a tangent there... LOL!
Okay, I will shut up now.
Oh how exciting Christine! I can't wait to see your new little one when he/she arrives.
Don't worry there won't be a shortage of pics from me LOL!
Thanks everyone!
Take care,
Anita
