Default Tis That Time of Year

How does everyone celebrate the Holidays? Is it strictly a WInter Solstice/Yuletide celebration? Or is it a Christmas combination? Does the extended family know about your celebrating preactices, and if so,what do they think?

We do Winter Solstice at our house. My mom lives with us and even joined in this year. Our family opens presents on the 21st or 22nd depending on how it works out that year. Then we open presents on what ever day it works out with DH's family and then my dad and sister. It's "Christmas" with my dad and sister. They know that we don't actually celebrate Christmas though. It's been like this for 7 years so they just accept it now.

LeighAnn, I am soo sorry I missed this post!
I forget to check on here sumtimes because the board moves so slowly.
Merry VERY Be-lated Yule!
We have never opened gifts on the 21/22 but you know what? I think that starting next year, that is exactly what we are going to do. Then we will save Christmas for the inlaws.
