Hi!
New here, and thought I would say hi! My husband and I enjoy our pagan lifestyle..and I look forward to getting to know you all!! Hoping this isn't as as it looks!! I can't wait to share stories with everyone!!
Best,
Victoria
Myself and My husband are pagans (gardnerians actually) and we enjoy the earth-centeredness of paganism.
In my siggy, there is a link to a website that I have, trying to link together local pagans in my area. Slowly but surely, its happening.
We just celebrated Beltaine, and even made a little maypole for our living room
So glad to have you here!
Share anything you feel comfy with!

Nice Maypole! I am part of a Celtic based coven. We had an open ritual for Beltaine and we set up a Maypole outside. I'm also part of a local meetup in my area, where we get together with a bunch of different paths. It's pretty cool! One of my good friends owns his own Pagan store, and I spend a lot of time down there helping out. We do a lot of open events to the public. Just last weekend, Rhode Island Pagan Pride had a Beltaine Brunch..so we all went. In a couple weeks South Eastern Mass PP will be holding their annual Fairy Ball to celebrate the summer solstice. it really is a nice way to meet everyone that will be attending the Annual PPD festivals around here!
That's beautiful!
Thanks for sharing!
I think thats fantastic that you have such an active pagan community.
Im new to my community, and part of a very small (4 people) coven, so I have been trying to get local like minded together and so far it is going well. Our Beltaine turned out nicely.
We are going to an outdoor VERY belated Beltain festival this weekend. Normally its held much earlier, but there were booking problems with the campground.
Husband and I attend every year, its a weekend long thing, but we only have a sitter for our little guy for the day, so it will be a day event for us.
Did you make the Brighid's cross' yourself?

It is great to be in an area with so many other Pagans!! The Brighid's Cross' were actually made by one of my coven mates. She made one for each of us to take home with us after the ritual. Usually we just put some sheaves of wheat on the altar and then take them home with us to keep until the following Imbolc, but this year she made them for us. Imbolc for us is a bit more important then some because our coven's patron goddess is Brighid!
We lived about 45 minutes away from here previously, and for the sabbats, there is usually a turn out of 50-100 people.. all different paths. Different covens take turns putting on the sabbat, and everyone volunteers to help etc.
Even though we arent SUPER far away, it would be nice to get something similar going out here.
It's nice when different paths meet up and share their different ways.
And amazingly, there arent people saying "no OUR way is best" etc etc... so Im really looking forward to this weekend.
Is your husband in the coven with you as well?

That sounds like such a fun weekend!! That's kind of what it's like when we have our big Pagan Pride events. Last year we had an open ritual to celebrate the fall harvest, and we had a good 200 people.
My husband doesn't participate in my coven. When we have open rituals he attends, and family events he will go with me. Last year we held the Yule festival at our place. However, we discussed that and he likes being a part of our solitary rituals at home, or going to the big open events. That way I can have some spiritual time alone from him.
Well, Beltaine went great. My husband got chosen as Stag King for the year.
I have some nifty pics of him riding on the maypole, in the STag King procession as it got carried to the hole in which to establish it for the DAncing and winding of the ribbons. He looks so nice with his horns, his long hair, and umm... he's naked, LOL.. so I can not share those pics here. But it was a nice time indeed. And with him being the King for the year, it means i will be attending all the sabbats, .. he cant complain about not wanting to make the long drive to the events, because he has to be part of them
Now.. that being said....
hugs to you. I expressed myself on the other board as well.
I'm not sure that I found the words to convey how I feel. But I tried.
You are in my heart.

Yes, the words did mean a lot to me!! It has been a rough couple days, and I'm not out of it all yet. I have to go in for more blood work at the end of the week to ensure the numbers are dropping. Since she didn't do a full D&C my body is going to finish the rest of the m/c process on its own, so my numbers should drop on thier own. I'm still getting all my pregnancy symptoms..and am worried that if my numbers are still high on Friday, I will be back at the hospital to get everything in my left removed (tube and ovary).
But, I do take heart that my little ones joined thier 4 other brothers and sisters. I felt my Lady Brighid there with me, and felt Epona and Mannanan as they gently carried my babies away. I know I was given a few minutes with them before they took them away because I could feel their presence. I'm still a bit confused and dazed...but am glad that the whole uncertainty part is over! Now to focus on the getting better..and then do a nice cleansing ritual to get ready for the next leg of the journey!
Ok enough of that...so your husband is the Stag King... That is cool!! You'll get to be a part of all the sabbats. I love doing all our sabbats and esbats. I was upset to have to miss an esbat this past weekend, but my High Priest came and we did a separate ritual to honor and heal.
Yes, it is nice to know we will be going to the sabbats. It's great to be part of, or host them when there are so many people involved. So much energy can be raised and its just such a nice time to be able to see all our friends from the different paths.
Of course, we will still be doing our own sabbats with our coven as well. So it also gets a bit busy.
There are things we may do slightly differently in a private coven rit as opposed to one put on outside for 50-100 people.
Other people call some of the Sababts, and for that, we would be in them, in circle, and d/h would stil be called on for food blessings etc., but in those situations, we just go as part of the merry-makers
How to get these boards moving.. well thats a tough one.
I think that the more frequently it is posted in, and depending on our topics, there is more possibility that people will stumble across it in google.
There just does not seem to be a large amount of Pagans on these boards,
