Yay!
Light is returning!
I dont know about anyone else, but I am so very happy.
In my family, we choose to follow the Celt custom of Solstice marking mid-winter, which means of course that at Imbolc, spring arrives.
So a super big YAY is in order round here at Solstice because we know we are half-way there, lol....
And of course, the glorious fact that the days are once again growing longer.
Hail the return of the Sun King.
Our little Dante is celebrating his first Solstice, and he happily (but sumwhat warily, and with assistance) opened his first Solstice gift. A brightly coloured stuffed Firefly with squeezy things, fuzzy things, a little mirror, chewy teething toy and a bright smiley face.
D/H and I exchanged gifts with each other.
My teens wait for Christmas, which we celebrate with the whole entire family... must appease the masses, lol.
I just want to wish a Blessed Solstice and Happy Yule to anyone reading this thread.
Take comfort in knowing that once again, we begin on our spiral outward.. slowly but surely. The time of introspection and reflection is now beginning to make way for creation, and action.
