Default Autumn

Well, the dark half of the year has officially arrived.
I love the beginning of Autumn.. the crisp smell in the air, the sharp outline of the mountains against the sky... bonfires, settling in all cozy and snug.
A time for introspection and reflection.... the inward spiral.
This is one of my fav times of the year.
How's everyone else doing?

Hello there!
I have been lurking on the SheKnows boards for a while now, and finally signed up to post just a few weeks ago. I was lurking back when you and I were both still pregnant with our new little ones, and I just really wanted to say hello to you.. and Pagan families is definately a board where I belong.

I am also very happy for the arrival of Autumn. There is nothing quite like walking outside on an Autumn evening in the beautiful falling leaves, smelling everyone's fireplaces lit. My daughter is very excited to see everyone's Hallowe'en decorations too!

I'm from Canada by the way, and I think from some of your posts that you are as well. We live in London, Ontario.

Good to meet you, and I'll be posting (and not just lurking!) now that I finally signed up for the boards

Michelle

Merry Meet!
so sorry I am so slow in responding, these boards have been so slow as you can tell from the threads, lol.. I was checking them daily, and then in the past while, just had stopped checking...
Yes, Im from Canada, west coast, Fraser Valley. I am totally loving the changing leaves.
We just moved here into the valley from right on the coast. I had lived there all my life, so this is the first time i have spent Autumn in the Valley. I have GOT to get busy with my camera soon and take some pics....
I get the urge to start cooking nice warm soupy/stewy sorts of meals and baking...
Our new house we are in came with fruit trees, apples and quince as well as some blueberry bushes, so my hubby has been doing lots of cooking too.

Do you plan on doing a wiccaning for your little one? We are going to, but as of yet, havent found a GodFather that we would like to have... but we do have a godmum chosen.
Thanks so much for taking the time to post!

Merry Meet! I was hoping you'd see my little post here eventually. I've been busy too, little daughter and dear older daughter have been keeping me on my toes

We are definately having a wiccaning for little Monet, but we cannot settle on a Godmother or father. Sooo.. we are going to think about it and wait a while.

It has been very unseasonably warm here for the last little while.. it seemed like Hallowe'en was the turning point though, and it is quite cold now. Today's weather had me in the mind to make some thick hearty stew or soup too! You are lucky to have a husband who cooks, I have one too

I'd love to write more, but just as I sat down to check the boards for the first time in a week, poor little Winter has poked her head out and said she needs me. So I'm off to Motherland again, I'll write more later!

The weather here has been funny, warm one minute, frosty the next.
Its our first autumn living in the Valley, so it will be interesting!
I love the autumn afternoons, when the sun paints everything a lovely shade of gold.

Did you do anything fun for Samhain?
