As many of you know I work at the GAP, well....I was working in the Baby dept today, and there were these two women at the register. I was helping the one women find some things for her granddaughter, and the other women said "Wow, I wish my mom would buy my girls clothes at the GAP." (she totally didn't mean it as mean, or snotty..she really though it was neat that this lady was buying her g-daughters clothes at GAP) Okay..so I run in back to get a size for the older woman, and when I come back the younger gal is standing there muttering , while wiping her tears.."oh my gosh..that is soo sweet." So..now I'm wondering what this lady did.
Anywho...I help the older woman, and she leaves. The younger gal comes up to me and says again, "I cannot believe she did that." I asked.."What did she do?". The younger gal explained to me that they were watching her niece today (pointing to a little 7 month old girl), and it was the first time they had ever even gotten to be with her. I got the jist that there were some family troubles. She told me that she was planning on giving her SIL her daughters old clothes for her niece, since they really didn't have alot of money. But..her daughter was the same size as her niece, so that plan wasn't going to work anymore. Well...the older woman, upon hearing this, reached into her purse, handed the gal $40 and said, "Here..go buy here some things." !!!! Can you believe that?!! The gal said.."I just about started to cry when she handed it to me."
I was totally shocked that this complete stranger would just offer up some money for her to buy her neice some clothes.
It just goes to show that there are still nice people in this world, who will never cease to amaze you.
Just had to share!!
