Today after church we were talking to people and the mission presidents wife came up to me and asked me when I was due. I'm not pregnant!!! I don't think I look exceptionally pregnant, either, so I had no idea what she was thinking. I don't know if she heard it from someone else or if it's because the shirt I was wearing today was a little roomy or because my dd is over 2 years old and it's "time" for another one... I just don't know. But man, what a shot to my self esteem. When i told her I wasn't pg, she was like, "you're not? I thought you were expecting. I should know better than to ask..." Sucks sucks sucks.
Oh, man! That DOES suck! People are such idiots sometimes! It does make you wonder if someone told her you were pg. Or maybe she was thinking of someone else that she was told was pg.
I KNOW she is as mortified as you are, because I've done it!! I got one of my bosses wives mixed up with another one once and asked her how far along they were!! I was soooo embarrased. It was probably just a mix up . . .

Ugh! Don't you hate that? When I was first married their was a sister in the Relief Society presidency that was always curious when we were due. She even went as far as calling our landlords asking them if we were pregnant! GRRRRRR!!! I'm sorry Katie. That's so frustrating!
Man, that's rotten! Sorry that happened. I'm sure that she was just thinking of someone else who was pregnant. Seems like it happens regularly -- a former coworker asked when I was due even though he was thinking of someone else (lucky for him, I was also pregnant at the time, so it wasn't TOO awkward).
If it makes you feel any better, some one just asked me that while I was holding my 6 month old daughter! And it was a total stranger so no chance of a mix up or hearing it from someone else.
