My TTC debacle

Jer asked about our TTC efforts….well they were going great the first few days, then I hurt my ankle smack dab at the peak of my “fertile” time. Dh WILL NOT touch me when I’m hurt no matter how much pleading and begging I do that he won’t hurt me and I can keep my ankle “out of the way”.

Ok, so two days latter when my ankles not bad and he’s ok with trying again I hurt my back and can’t move for almost 24 hours and for the next 48 I’m still in some pretty good pain so you can guess the rest of the story…

Now that I’m ok he’s fine TTC but what’s the point, I’m passed my fertile time and I was REALLY ticked at him for not doing what I called his “husbandly duties” when I hurt my ankle. I mean really, who freaking uses their ankle when dtd!! He said it just freaks him out knowing I’m hurt and that he might hurt me again, whatever, lol.

So, I doubt it worked this month as I’m usually a late ovulator and all my troubles began during the middle and end of my good week. I’m starting to decide that I don’t want to TTC for reals and just focus on trying to lose this weight I need to lose and if I get PG along the way then great but I hate stressing and then having the beg Dh to dtd while we’re ttc (yes, my Dh is not like normal men…I’m the initiator 99.9% of the time…ticks me off most the time too…one of my many frustrations with him but that’s another story for another time).

Shab's, I'm so sorry you've had such a rough go lately! I hope you are feeling better now! It is funny the frustrations we have and how totally and completely different they can be. I remember when I tore a ligament in my knee Dh wanted to dtd that same day...no sympathy there. And we are reversed in the initiating thing too!

Well I hope that somehow it worked this month, if not I hope you stay healthy next month!

Sorry to hear about the many obstacles! I do understand your frustration! I also relate to being the intiator- seems thats the case here, too. Annoying. I know it seems most women are always saying they wish they could keep their DH's off of them...

Yep, I tell Dh that all the time and tell him he should be so lucky to have me, rofl!

How frustrating!!!! DH makes me crazy when I have to convince him to do his part of TTC too. That's part of what I am not looking forward to when we finally get around to TTC again. He used to get so ticked that TTC was a reason to make advances--aargh! How is it bad to want to dtd for TTC purposes? Anyhow, I feel your pain and I hope next month the stars are aligned for you!
