Default How is your sunday going?

I always feel so unprepared for Sundays. My daughter is always dressed and looking immaculate, and Dh needs all of 5 mins to shower and throw on something to look amazing- but each sunday no matter how much time I try to find, I end up joining them with somehow still wet hair and putting on whatever makeup I have lying around in the car on the way to the chapel (by the way it's a 2 minute drive! LOL! We actually live backing on to our chapel but we always drive still)
It is so hard to find ways to entertain during sacrament meeting too. Between normal lunchtime being interrupted and nap time woes- how do you girls do it???

In other news...
My little brother comes home from his mission THIS saturday!!! His plane comes in late at 11:30pm so i'm leaving dh at home with the baby, but I am so excited to see him!!! He is the first missionary ever in our family. He's been serving in Tempe, AZ so it should be interesting to see him acclimatize back to Canadian temperatures!

Hope you are all well,
Sarah

Sarah-Its so fun to have a missionary come home. When my bro came home, we were SO EXCITED! You could hardly keep us behind the cutsoms line at the airport!

I keep Landry busy by looking at different books, I also have some magnet books, his are Thomas the train and Mr. Potatie head, but they also have paperdoll ones and such. They were $3 at Toys R Us, they open up like a book and they have magnets that they can move around and use to make different faces on Mr. Potatoe head and stuff like that. It seems to keep him entertained. I also have an "I spy" bag but he is still a little young for that. Do you know what that is? I am going to make him a quiet book...hopefully sometime soon. I also am working on "Folder Fun." Its a book that has cute pictures that you color and cut out and then the kids play with them. You laminate them in a standard manilla folder and use velcro to keep the pieces in them. There is a book The File Folder Fun book that has the templates that you copy and use.

I don't know if that helps any, I hope it gives you some ideas!

Thank you so much for the suggestions. I think those magnet books might be a hit. I am definantly going to look for them next time i'm at ToysRus.

I'm so excited to see my brother! He is the first missionary out of his friends to return so I hope that means he'll have lots of time to hang out before they come home and he gets more socially busy... Did you guys have any banner/balloons at the airport? I'd like to make it special for him since there is only going to be a few of us there...

I think we had baloons and maybe one poster, but I am not sure. We were so excited and were chomping at the bit for him to appear. Since he had to go through customs, we knew he was there, we just didn't know how long it would take so we just paced the floor waiting for him to come through those doors. Its so exciting!
