Default Hong Kong Disneyland pics

Ok, warning, there are a TON. I think about 25 or 26 that I am posting. I took a lot! Anyway, we went on August 24 (the day before we left for our trip.) The park actually opens September 12th (that's today, right? lol) but we got "rehearsal day" passes from a friend who got them through her husbands company. Dh didn't want to skip school to go (the nerd lol) so I invited a few friends to come too. The day was beautiful, but a bit hot. It rained for about 20 minutes while we were there (around noon) and it seemed to cool off a bit after that, thank goodness. It wasn't too packed since it was a rehearsal day, but we did still have to stand in line. Ooh, one of the best parts was that all of the restraunt food was 30% off! lol. We also did the fast pass thing, and the baby swap thing, which was cool. I've heard that HK Disneyland looks a lot like the one in California, but I can't really comment since it's been about 13 years since I've been there. lol. Oh, the other thing is that this one is really small right now. They only have Fantasy Land, Adventure Land and Tomorrow Land up and running. They still have a lot of room to expand as business grows. We were there from about 11am until 9pm (including fireworks) and we had time to go on pretty much all the rides (some twice), have lunch and see a show. Overall, it was a very very fun day. While I was in the States my mom mentioned wanting to come visit again next year and go to Disneyland with us. That would be so fun! Ok, so anyway, here are the pics.

The welcome sign...

Our first peek at the castle...

Our first celebrity sighting, lol...

Me and Maya with our friends at the beginning of Main Street... (L to R) Sharon, me (with Maya), Sarah (with Cooper) and Tammy

Inside one of the stores on Main Street...

Me and Sharon being goofy... Maya refused to try on a hat lol

The castle... I loved how it looks with the "mountains" in the background!

The carousel... which Maya LOVED. We went on it twice!

A view from the Dumbo ride...

Lunch time! I ordered Maya a kid meal at one of the restraunts, and it was HUGE! It would've been enough to feed me! They had a lot of selections of different Chinese, Japanese, Thai, American etc restraunts. We went with good ol' burgers and fries. lol

Snow White and the Seven Dwarves... thought it looked cool...

Inside the Winnie the Pooh ride. Maya loved it! I thought all the detail was fantastic!!

Us again in front of Adventure land. Maya loved the Jungle boat ride... we got soaked! She also loved looking around in Tarzan's tree house.

Us on the tea cups. Maya also loved this. We didn't spin it too much, but it was a lot of fun. She wanted to go on it again and again. I think we did it twice.

just a cute pic of Maya

Another pic of Main Street

Tomorrowland... We did the baby swap thing on Space Mountain, and actually went on it three times. lol. SO fun. We saw Buzz Lightyear, but didn't get a picture because I think he was leaving for a break

the two resort hotels that they have right now. These pics are taken from Tarzan's treehouse. Sorry it was getting dark, so they didn't turn out too great

The castle at night... it looked so cool. We loved the fireworks!

Main Street at night

And Maya all tuckered out after a long day.

Finally, a couple pics of the MTR. (MTR is what the subway system is called here...) They built an addition called the Disneyland Resort Line, that takes you right to the park. First, the outside of the train, then a couple of the inside.

Thanks for looking!!
