Feeling Distant from Temple

Boy, I just feel like it has been a million years since I went to the temple! The last time we went was in July. Our temple babysitting swap couple had a baby in August and then in September Mike went but Emily Lara was very clingy so I ended up staying home with her. Now it is October and I have no idea when we will be able to make the expensive trip up to London to go to the temple. It just feels like another lifetime that I went to the temple, KWIM? Anybody else feel like that?

I am definitely with you on that one. I've been thinking these last few days that it has been forever since dh and I went and it really is time to go again. I really miss it...

I feel the same way...except..it really has been forever since I went, even more so for DH. Dare I even admit how long it's been....

[deep breath] I haven't been in almost 4 years...and DH hasn't been since we were married! [ducking now from flying fruit] I know its awful, but...the reason is, when we were first married we lived 5 hours from the nearet temple. It was a weekend trip to go and we just never had the time or money. Okay wait..I lied..DH went when we lived in Utah before, we both went to the Manti temple. So, it's been 4 years for DH as well. We moved to Utah in 2001 and we were here for 1 year. We only went to the temple once. How awful! And they were all so close.

After that we moved to Michigan. The Detroit temple was only 45 mins away, but DH worked nites, and..well......Whatever, we have no excuses really. We really need to go back, especially before this baby is born. Shame on me for not having gone in soo long.

I haven't been to the temple for over a year and it's only 2 hours away! My Dh has been lots of times. He usually takes a load of people (widows, old people who can't drive, young people who don't have cars) and I'm home with the kids. He is EQ Pres and feels totally guilty if he doesn't go and take as many people with him as he can.

We're hoping to go alone together this Saturday.

I live right down the street from the temple (4 blocks) and I don't go as much as I should. I did go a couple weeks ago and did initiatories. I have a cousin that got married not too long ago and she likes to drag me along....good for her!
