Default Don't ya hate it when...

You wait for a long time for this job to come thru and it is a *NO*!! Bummed!!
My dh went thru a ton of interviews and paper work and went back to D.C. for interviews and they (CIA) made him feel like he was a great catch, and that they wanted him, but nope, we got a NO in the mail yesterday!! My dh is soooooo depressed! It was his dream job! The whole process took 9 1/2 months from begining to the end (NO).

I guess God has something else in store for us.....Can't wait to find out. Just no more 9 1/2 months of waiting please!!

Well we haven't ever been through anything like that exactly...yet! I'm so sorry though! I can imagine that would be a huge bummer after how long of a process it was! You'll have to keep us updated on what comes up next! Good luck to you and Dh. I hope he gets an even better dream job!

I hate that! It happened to me when I was fresh out of college with a dream job at a manufacturing company (my degree, exactly). I submitted my resume before I moved down here, got called, two interviews peppered with "we just love you!" and then the cold shoulder. No letter, no "No, sorry, we gave the job to the other guy", nothing. GRRRR!

I hope your DH gets something better and soon! The beautiful thing about faith and hope is that you know, deep down, that something better and more suitable is on its way.

Oh, that's exactly how I felt about when DH was a finalist at the U of Cincinnati. Take comfort in the fact that at least they probably paid for your DH to fly out. When we got the "picked someone else" email (yes, how obnoxious is that...an email!) all I could think was, "Well, there's 800 bucks I'll never get back." Grrrr. I guess it's all part of their process, but it sure does make it cruddy to be a runner-up!

Oh, bummer!! I am so sorry! That really does stink! My dad lost his job when I was a jr in high school. He went that whole summer un-employed (luckily my parents had enough savings to support us) BUT....just when the savings was about to run out, he ended up getting a better job, with more $$$ and less travel!! So..it definatley worked out for the better!

Good luck!! I know your DH will find something better, and soon. {{{hugs}}}
