Icon7 Where is everybody?

Hallooo! Anybody out there? LOL!

Eve, I hope you're better now, isn't it ugly being sick? I've been dragging a cold around for the last 15 days that doesn't get better and doesn't get worse either, and today its snowing like all get out and it took me more than an hour to get to work! Ugh! I only like snow on the weekend, like yesterday that it "prevented" us from going to my MIL's house. Ha-ha! Listen, she saw Alex last Sat. at his 2nd b-day party. That I survived only because one of my friends showed up and saved me from the dreded INLAWS! lol All seven of them and just lil' ol' me. My other friends were all down with the flu which is in epidemic proportions, all the hospitals are full and they are placing beds in operating rooms even. Hope things are better where all of you are.
Oops, boss has arrived, gotta go!

hah was going to ask the same but then i thought that i was the one asking this question lately a lot so this time i thought i will wait patiently

It's exactly the same for me, Susan. I wasnt sick for sooo long and was really hoping i can survive this winter without getting sick, but no. I am sick, Tina is sick and we are not getting any better. She was taking already second antibiotic and nothing. I went with her again and now she got shots, my poor baby... I am also taking antibiotic but i dont feel it will cure me. It's really hopeless, and we dont have a flu just a very nasty cold. But i've heard that the flu is coming from the west of Europe. I hope to leave before it will come

Oh and let me say that - I HATE SNOW!!! At least it can have some positive sides from you say LOL
to Alex!!! How was the party?? Did he like that? Did you invite other kids or just the family?

PS. and ditto - where is everybody????

Well, the party itself was ok, this year we ordered the cake and some mini pizzas, everything counted for about 15 people, so at least I didn't have the headache of making the cake myself the day before. Good thing too, because at lunch time Friday I took some stuff out of the fridge and found out that the darn thing had died on us! Ab-so-lute panic! All the cooked stuff that I had in the freezer went into the trash, and Saturday morning I had to cook all the raw things. DH was supposed to go grocery shopping Friday, and he ended up going refrigerator shopping too, he had the new one transported from the store by a collegue of his that drives a delivery truck. Can you immagine trying to make a cake in those conditions?

Then my best friend called me telling me that she, her husband and her little girl (Nicole, who is my sweetie pie) all had the flu with a high fever and so they couldn't come and that her mother wasn't well either so she wouldn't be coming. So that was four people less to eat all that stuff. Well, the cake at least, the pizzas went into the freezer, I made some little sandwiches and the rest was popcorn and chips and pretzels. We only invited family pratically, so there would have been Nicole who just turned 8, Claudia (Alex's cousin) who is 9 and Alessandra (the other cousin) who is 16 as far as kids go. I'll wait to invite classmates when Alex is a little older and we'll do the thing at McDonalds because our appartment is too small to hold all the people.

I'm so sorry that you and Tina are so sick, antibiotics are a pain, but at least you'll get over the complications like ear infections and such and the rest of the virus will get better on its own. Poor baby Tina, having to get shots! Weren't the other two antibiotics strong enough? I hope you both get better before having to take that loooong flight, travel can be debilitating as it is. Not long now, is it? Are you going somewhere without snow, like down south or towards the west or are you going to be in the middle of more white stuff? I hope for your sakes that you're going to New Orleans or something. I can't wait until the winter is over! Yay spring!

BTW, I just love your new siggy, did you create the puzzle or did you find it already made?

OMG What a bad coincidence with the fridge... Good that you had other food ordered! And how nice of your DH to buy the new fridge soo quickly
So besides that trouble, it sounds like a great party!
I didnt think about inviting all classmates, i meant rather some kids that play often with Alex or something like that I know the pain of living in a small apartment

About us - yes the antibiotics were strong, but still Tina didnt feel any better, so the doc said he cant give her anything stronger cos it might affect ears and cause some complications. So the shots were the last chance, plus i said we dont have time and i want tina to get better before leaving. We have only few days left!!! I am soo stressed - i hate packing, i'm afraid i will forget something really important
And yes i hope not to see the snow cuz we are going south to Georgia.

The siggy is made by me, but it's not looking like i wanted I have to work on it!!!
