ahhhhhh I have done that with Mimi (Japan)

My suggestion is to bring snacks and drinks that Tina likes... if she likes to draw bring her some crayons and paper... I try to buy new stuff to make it fund for Mimi... also any travelling type games they sell in the store... that maybe the 2 of you can play togheter.

Don't forget to bring some gum to help with the ears.

Also... here we have this motion sickness medication called GRAVOL which is for kids or adults... anyways it also makes ppl sleepy...
I usually give some to Mimi LOL when its a long flight... gives me a break when she falls asleep!

If I think of anything else I'll let you know...

ANd its too bad your man lives so far LOL Would have been nice to meet!

Thank you Renee!
I remember that you were in Japan and thats why i asked

Yeah i will defiintely take books, and coloring books, cant think of any suitable game now, but books and some new toys would be good for sure. The only thing i'm scared is that she will exhaust me with asking to read to her for hours

I'm planning to give her Cocculine - homeopathic dragee to help/prevent the sickness, beacuse they are homeopatic they are not causing sleepness. If she will sleep - good, if not even better LOL cos that means she will go to bed early that day which is unusal for her...
Luckily we always have chewing gums with us so at least we wont forget that! LOL
I've also read that people with kids are able to board first - but i am not so sure about that - i mean tina is not an infant, or maybe (hopefully) that mean all kids... I found the website of the airlines and they have very usefull tips there about traveling, traveling with kids. I took the seat at the window, so i hope watching the views will keep her busy

Well it's true its far from you, and I would love to meet you!! But hey it's closer than Poland isnt it?? so who knows...

When are you going and how long will you stay?

As for games... I was thinking about travel size board games ... like they have Travel size "Connect Four" and Battle ship and things like that... I think they have some that could be played by smaller kids.

As for being firt to get in the plane... not sure with children what age it works... but I'd go see the people at the boarding guest to ask to be on the "pre-boarding" list since you are alone with a child.

Thats what I do anyways LOL

I'll be going in 4 weeks, it's stressing me more and more LOL I'm sure i will forget to take many things... And if I wont encounter any problems, then I'm going to stay there for very, very long

Hey Eve,
I didn't realize DH wasn't there with you and Tina....having a long distance relationship must be hard. I'm so happy for you that you will all be together again soon & I hope it works out that it can be permanent! Have a great time! LOL!

Hi everybody! Eve, I bet you're excited about going to find Tee! (Love your siggy BTW), when you get back, could you please tell me how international travel with small children works? I should be going to see my mom this year or next and i am really not looking forward to a 14-hour flight with a bored 3 yo! Other than the fact that I haven't been back to the US in more than 10 years so I don't remember how things work. Like boarding and all that.

I have been meditating getting married in Las Vegas, just to skip all the brouhaha political stuff that we will have to go through and the reception and all that. Just kidding! We are thinking about going to Paris for the honeymoon because 1) it would be a lot cheaper than going to New Mexico and a much shorter flight, and 2) because DH has never been there before. I still have to wait for my divorce to come through, which is another reason to get married in Vegas, it takes 3 years of legal separation just to be able to request a divorce in Italy, and then you have to wait for the Court to call you for the hearing. This is getting sooooo long!

sorry for my !
