Default Hi

Hi Angie,

I'm glad you have a nice time with your cousins. Did you take any pictures?

Girl, I totally understand what you mean about the weight concern. When I got pregnant with Dominic I weighed 135. Girl, by the time I had Dominic I was 198. DANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And if I wasn't induced, I would have weighed more because I kept growing and growing and growing.

I worked out prior to getting pregnant so the weight fell off easily. By my 5th week check up girl, I was back down to 142. Now 17 months later, I'm 125.

Prior to working out regularly, I use to wear a size 16 too. I was on every diet. Nothing worked. I eventually just carried my bootay to the gym every night kicking and screaming and coming up with every reason in the book why I could be doing something else. Eventually the weight fell off and I was down to a size 2-4. I was loving it!!!!

I'm a size 6 now. Dh asked that I not lose anymore weight. He thought my size 2-4 was too skinny but I was toned ... I also lifed weights.

Are you working out with weights?

Girl I hear you, I know I will BLOW up while I am pg, that is why I got to lose this weight. I bet I will get a surprise when I am in the process of losing this weight, I wouldn't mind it at all. I have the BIG BOOTAY which I hate, but of course DH loves, it is all in the genes my aunts on my dad's side have big bootays. I hate to go shopping and try on clothes I look so big.

I currently workout at this fitness center called Curves, it may be in Cleveland, it is worldwide, I really enjoy it, you go around in a circle and workout on each equipment for a minute, the whole process ends in 30 minutes or you may go longer. Here is the site.

I am here bored at work on my boss's computer since my computer in my office is SHOT, probably has a virus on it. I love this time of year here at work, the University is not that busy in the Fall semester, but come next semster and summer, we will be extremely busy.

Talk to you soon dear friend.

Hi Angie,

Girl, I see we still have some lurkers. 10 hits on this site when I checked in. Come on lurkers ... you are welcome to join!

Anyhow, how you doing Angie!!!! Any plans for the weekend? Are you getting ready for this thanksgiving holiday feast? Are you starting your workout now? I've gained a few pounds. I've been eating like crazy since halloween .. all this junk plus the holiday food is coming in at work. I've put on a few pounds. I'm at 129 which is my "DANGER" sign to hold up! I don't know what I'm going to do with thanksgiving around the corner. I was planning to throw down on some greens, candy yams, corn bread, ham (i don't like turkey), mac-n-cheese, potato salad, corn, and a salad (for the health nut in me ...hahahahaha)

Yes, Curves is in Cleveland. In fact, where I live there is one close by. It's a small place though. Are they small or large facilities?

You are sooooooooooooooooooo blessed to have quiet time around this time of the year. This is one of my busy seasons ... we have a firm holiday party for our clients so I'm working on decorations, entertainment, food, invitations, etc.

Do you work in scheduling at your university? I miss college sometimes. Do you get discounts since you work there if you wanted to take a class?

Hey Girl, I see the hits too from the lurkers, PLEASE POST, ME AND DIANE ARE LONELY HERE AND WANT SOME COMPANY.

Curves is a small facility, we probably have about 7 or 8 of them here in Nashville, it is like a neighborhood fitness center, Curves is located in different parts of the city so you want have to drive far to get to one.
I started Curves earlier this year and got lazy a few months ago and stopped going, but I started back at the beginning of this month.

At the University I am the Advisor/New Student Coordinator. I coordinate Freshmen Orientation week and work with students who are undecided about a major (we have so many of those, students change their major 2 or 3 times) Our busy time is around April-June when we mail out to admitted students and invite them to early registration in July, and of course in August is when they arrive. Move in day for first time students is so funny each year, these students bring everything for their dorms, and parents can't wait to drop them off and leave and a lot of parents can't break that umbilical cord and let their child go, they stay all week, and we have to tell them to please leave, your baby is in good hands.

The University paid for me to get my M.Ed. in 2000 since I work there, that was such a blessing, I just had to pay for my books, but that was cool, I have been at the University for seven years. I am kind of ready to move into another position at the University, my goal is to one day be Dean of Students, so I know sooner or later I am going to have to get my Doctorate, but I just don't have the desire to go back to school and sit through all of those boring lecture classes, write a million papers, and then the dissertation, but I know I am going to have to do it if I want the higher positions. There are so many old school folks at the University who have been there 30,40 & some 50 years who need to RETIRE, so some of us young 30 something employers can get a break and move up.

What college did you attend?

Me and dh are going to my mom's for Thanksgiving, Dh is going to fry a turkey, and I will make squash casserole I guess.

Talk to you soon.

Ha....that is funny about the parents hanging around after they drop their kids off. I know a guy who didn't want his daugther to leave and go to a university out of town ... he and his wife are so scared of what could happen. You just have to raise them to make right choices and pray ....

Girl, now I can eat fried turkey. That is the only turkey I can eat (other than lunch meat turkey). Fried turkey is good ... kinda taste like fried chicken to me. Yummy! I'm too scared to make it by myself .... I know I have to buy one of thos fryers for it.

Boo-hoo about the people who have been their for years. My husband's job is like that ... people in his department can't move up unless someone retires so everyone is waiting. (smile) My husband is at a high position. He is a regional director for the state. there is one more position higher than his and it requires someone to retire as well. People retire every year but he turns the opportunity down because it would require us to move and travel alot and thats something he is not willing to do.

I went to Cleveland State University. It was nice. I miss school and I would like to go back to get my masters but like you .... I don't feel like dealing with those boring lecturers, papers to write, exams, quizzes, presentations, etc. Just the thought of it makes me jump for joy that I finally graduated!

Any plans for the weekend? I'm going to shop for holiday decorations. Any ideas for gifts for your hubby? I have no clue this year what to get my hubby. I know he is getting gift cards this year but I like to get him something special.

Girl, I don't have a clue what I am going to get my dh for xmas, he loves gift cards, but I am tired of getting him those. I was thinking about maybe getting him a nice suit to wear to church, I can count on one hand how many he has in the closet.

I need to start looking around for xmas decorations, we don't have any decorations at all, we threw them out when we moved, they were kind of old anyway.

My hubby just interviewed for another position the other day, he is a quality engineer for a company called Western Digital which is a company that makes hard drives for many computers, so he installs them in computers, he can even build them. He interviewed for another engineering position, so I hope he gets it. He said of course if the $$$$$ is right he will take it.

I really don't have anything planned for the weekend, just hanging out. Dh has an exercise at the National guard on Saturday, I don't know if I told you that dh is also in the Air Force National Guard, and he was deployed in March 2003 to Saudia Arabia, thank god he was only there for two months, but we emailed each other and he called me frequently. He was over there during are first anniversary, but he called me and had flowers delivered to me, I was so shocked.
I just that he does not get called up again, I will go completely nuts.

It looks like only me and you will be posting on this board, do you post on any other message boards?

Talk to you soon.
