Default Hello. New here

I just found this site doing a google. I saw a lot of interesting sub forums here, but this is the one that made me decide to join. I'm a single mom of 3 and would really like to become just as at home here as my "other" message boards

Hi. This board is very slow sometimes, well, most of the time. I check in here at least once a week, but we haven't had any activity here in a month or so.

My name is Jen 32, momma to five with one on the way. I have four sons, Isaac 11, Aaron 9, Elijaah (almost) 7, Naathaniel 4, Laliyaah (almost) 3, and a baby girl, Nazaaria EDD 4/15. I also am a single mother...

How old are your children, do you have boys/girls?

Thats good, sorry you are getting the occasional "evening sickness". That, and the fatigue should ease up in the second trimester...which you are just there, right? Are you going to find out the baby's gender or let it be a surprise?

My midwives did decide I have gestational diabetes, I have several symptoms, but because of $$ concerns, I just decided to follow the diet and skip the test.
I am still trying to get used to the food plan. Since I was told to skip sugar, that seems to be all I want.

sorry to hear that you have gd. but its good that you are getting used to the food plan. i can't believe you only have 13 weeks left. does the seconf trimester begin at 13 weeks or 14 weeks? i'm 13 weeks today. yes, we do plan to find out the sex of the baby. i really wanted to wait and just be suprised at delivery. but dh wants to know before hand. he says that there will be enough "suprises" when the baby gets here. but i'm ok with finding out.

Oh if you are 13 weeks you are second trimester!! Woohoo...exciting. The second trimester is the best. You feel, and look, the best.

I prefer finding out the babys sex just because I think it makes it easier to shop. They only make so much gender nuetral stuff. Of course after having so many boys, I LOVE shopping for girly girl things!! LOL.

Yeah, I start my 3rd trimester tomorrow, when I am officially 27 weeks. This time has just flown by, but in my case, the last month or so always takes about a year. LOL!!

Hi ladies

My sister who just had her second in July had GD with both of her pregnancies. I have never seen anyone go through as much as she did! I'm glad you're getting used to the food as well.

With my first, I didn't find out what she was until they said, "It's a GIRL!". I just bawled and bawled like a baby

With the other two, I did find out. It just wasn't the same, but that's just my experience. They did seem a little more real in the sence that I could say, "She's kicking a lot." Or "Taren seems happy today." etc.

Surprises can be so fun/exciting...I'm just not patient, and I LOVE to shop!! LOL!! I didn't find out with my first son (but I knew he was a boy, mommas intuition, and called him Isaac from about 3 months on)

I also didn't know with my daughter, Laliyaah (my first girl after all those boys). After she was born and the midwives handed her to me, I asked "what is it?" but they had just wrapped her up in a blanket, no one had looked. They told me to look and when I announced "Its a GIRL"...everyone in the room cried!!!
