I hope it's OK for me to post here. I only just found this board, even though I've posted on this site for years now. My DS, Jacob, is African-American, but my partner and I are Caucasian-American. We consider ourselves to be an African-American family. I hope that doesn't sound too weird, but it would be denying my son's ethnic and genetic heritage to not consider ourselves to be an African-American family. We adopted our sweet, beautiful baby boy when he was 4 days old and he's now almost 8 months old (and just started crawling!). He's a delightful baby and it's a joy to be his mother.

Hi Karen, and to the board, the board gets kinda slow sometimes, but hopefully it will pick up.
I think it is great that you and your dh adopted a black child, so many children of all races needs a loving home, he is adorable.
Sorry that you had difficulties in TTC, I have been on lots of clomid cycles too with no succees, we are doing are first IUI in January.

Sorry for the delay in my reply. I don't seem to get on these boards all that much these days since my son keeps me so busy.
