I am a cradle Catholic, but in high school before confirmation I did look into other faiths to see if I was making the right decision for me. I really like the continuity and community (both within the parish and worldwide) that our church has. A lot of other denominations I visited were very different from church to church. I really like knowing that I know what to expect and when I go to church on vacation I'm not getting an entirely separate message/experience.

Those aren't the only reasons, obviously, its deeper than all that, but that was a huge thing for me back then and now. There are so many similarities between Catholics and Protestants, but that is one difference that is important to me.

What is it that draws you to Catholicism?
I was never really drawn to it - I was brought up in an Irish Catholic family.

What keeps you Catholic?
My faith and relationship with not only God and Jesus, but also with The Virgin Mary. I also want to bring up my children as catholics, so I make sure I attend church regularly with them.

What is it that draws you to Catholicism?
The tradition and the mass are what drew me to stay Catholic. My parents encouraged me to explore my beliefs before getting confirmed and I was drawn the the Catholic church.

What keeps you Catholic?
The Eucharist keeps me Catholic. I don't always agree with church teachings but I simply couldn't be anything other than Catholic. It is my home and I don't think I could every stray
