Default Saints

I know this has been done but I thought I would cover it again, and then do a little intro for that saint.

What saint are you named after? Did you choose it? And if you did why?

I chose Saint Anne, she is the patron saint of parenting. I found out I was pregnant with my son, Quinn...the day I was being confirmed (RCIA). So I thought it was a fitting name.

I chose the name Marie, after our blessed lady, but also since my middle name is Anne, and my best friends at school were Anne, Marie and Ann-Marie

I gave my eldest daughter the middle name Anne (after my best friend, who was also DHs sister - she died in a car accident in '84) and my second daughter the middle name Mary (my mums middle name, and dh's middle name - all his siblings have Mary after our lady), and my new daughter the name Anna Maria after both of them It was important to me to choose biblical names, though - Catryn (although spelt differently) is a saint, and Rebecca is in the bible, as is James and John (his middle name).

Sorry, I rambled

Donna, I love the names you have chosen.

Both my first and middle names are important - the mother and grandmother of Jesus. My confirmation name is Bernadette. When I was in HS I just thought it sounded good, but now that I know more about it I think it fits me well. I am a cancer survivor (leukemia as a child) so the fact that she had healing waters works well for me.

Darren is not biblical, but his middle name - James - is. Sarah is biblical.
