Default Pope John Paul

How do you feel about the Pope having a feeding tube inserted? To me it's interfering with God's plan. He is so frail right now, and really is getting rather old. I feel in my heart that he will be going to be with God soon.

Isn't it a NG tube? (ie. one that is temporarily placed in the nose; not one like Terri Schivo). I'm not sure it's interferring with God's plan. Granted, he is quite frail and I believe God will take him soon. However, the type of tube he has a meant to be a temporary measure, and is used quite frequently with acutely ill people.

I think of it as a tool - like a pacemaker for someone with heart problems or an inhaler for someone with asthma.

My prayers are with him.

I too think it's a tool. I'm sure he has expressed his wishes to his physicians on more than one occasion. He'd doing what he thinks is best. I am just very sad and pray for him.
