So here is the birth story....let's see if I can type fast enough before someone wakes up or comes in
I had to start fasting on the night of the 18th...I ate something at 9 but wish i had at least gotten up at midnight, I was starving already by morning.
I had to be in the case room at L&D by 11am...since I was not really a booked c-section, more of an add on (if there was room then I would go in, if not I would have to come back and fast all over again). They were doing renovations in L&D as well...so the day wasn't too fun.
I sent Neil home, and the nurses said come back around 2, if she gets in earlier then we will phone you.
So by 4 I was getting really antsy...and I was contracting the minute I got there, I am sure from nerves and the fact that I was starving and couldn't drink anything either.
You can only play cards and read the same magazine so many times

And here is a final belly shot....I was so tired by this point excuse the way I look. Here i thought having a shower before going in, I would look nice for my new babe

After waiting around for 7.5 hours and almost fasting for 20 I was in no mood to look pretty:p

So I sent Neil to talk to the nurses at 6 because I was getting ready to say forget it! They met at the door, and she was calling the OR to see what was up....:clap we get to go in at 6:30...now the nerves kicked in...
I had a rough time waiting in the hallway down on the OR floor. I had not been down there since the ectopic and the first miscarriage. So tears started, and my awesome OB knew that it was not over this pregnancy. She said she wished there was another area to wait. But i got through it.

So in we go....the spinal was a breeze (this was my big worry). They didn't even pre-warn me that they were starting. They just all of a sudden said, good thing we scheduled this, the baby is stuck and you wouldn't have ended up here anyways. That was uncomfortable as I am sure they were pushing pretty hard on me. Neil placed a bet with the Dr's that it was a girl...they both said we bet it's a boy (before the incision happened). So when they pulled that baby out..."It's a boy" I told Neil...Mother's intuition...you should have listened

This was such a great experience...since he was breathing (unlike Quinn) they kept him in there and did alot of his vitals, it was so nice to be able to watch all this happen. Neil had to go with him upstairs to the nursery...he said they just wrapped him up after weighing him.

and handed him over! With Quinn, he was in the oxygen tent for so long, and hooked up to machines. When I got upstairs a few hours later, Neil said he had been holding him the whole time (nursery was VERY busy). He said it was so great to have a healthy baby.
I had a few altercations with the nurses....when you say no formula, it usually means so formula. Once of the nurses said, I gave him formula cause he was screaming and I couldn't handle it anymore ( i was in the shower). Um hellooo....he is a baby!! So i got quite upset over that ( i am sure hormones were involved).
The pain was very difficult this time, apparently because of the tubal. But I am quite happy I am done. I definately feel done

I have my 2 boys, who could ask for anythign more
