OK, so have I got this down pat? During Lent, you're not supposed to eat meat? Or is just on Fridays?

My other question. When does Lent end?

The other reason I ask, is that I'm planning a special lunch at my son's school for the teachers, right before Spring break, and I was planning to do a big ole ham up, along with the fixings. This lunch would take place on March 24. Is this going to be at odds with the "don't eat meat during Lent" thing, if that is true?

Sorry to be such a hassle - I just don't want to peeve any of them off, kwim?

You don't eat meat on Ash Wednesday and Fridays during lent including Good Friday-Friday before Easter Sunday

Lent ends at the Easter Vigil service.

The only times that eating meat is a sin is Ash Wednesday and Good Friday - but tradition usually entails giving up meat on all Fridays is simply tradition and not requirement.

And we're past Ash Wednesday, because I'm sure that's the service at the boys' school that I attended. So then that Wednesday that's two days before Good Friday - I'm good to go then? Not gonna cause a riot or anything?
