Icon9 Feeling Guilty

We go to Mass every Sunday, and since DS was born 4.5 months ago, we always bring him with us. But he never makes it through without me having to get up and either feed him/walk him, etc. (He's not the kind to just sit in his car seat the whole time!) I just realized this past Sunday that it has been forever since I've actually *paid attention* during Mass and I feel bad! I didn't think I would actually miss it, but I do. Anyone else?

My baby isn't here yet, but my DH and I are planning on taking turns each week being the one mainly looking after the baby (and taking them out of the sanctuary if they're fussy, etc) so that we can each experience Mass more at least every other week. I'm sure that's not entirely realistic of course, but we'll give it a go.

I think I will actually miss being able to focus on the Mass as much, but I firmly believe God called me to be a mommy so I'm just fulfilling his plan by being there and taking care of the gift he gave me. Hopefully that will help me feel better when the time comes.

Don't feel bad! Babies will be babies - if Jamie is fussing I take him out, as I don't think it's fair to disrupt everyone. It has got better as he's gotten older, so don't worry - God understands

The priest actually stood up at the end of mass one Sunday and said to the congregation "If your children fuss, don't worry...God loves to see children and babies at church. He loves to see families come and worship together". That was a big encouragement for me - but I'd still rather take him out if he's going to scream the place down lol.

I feel horrible!! Quinn hasn't even been since I found out i was pg (and i am 34 weeks). But it's hard when I have to do it alone, and can't hold him while pg. I agree with DOnna though, and my priest said the same thing. God wants to hear our children, whatever form of sound they make it's their way of talking to God too.
