Greetings.

We are Anonymous. It has recently come to our attention that a video is now in circulation on YouTube (YouTube - MESSAGE TO THE VATICAN ANONYMOUS MESSAGE TO THE VATICAN) which claims that anonymous intends to target the Catholic Church. I am here to assure you that nothing is further from the truth.

We are currently engaged in a war with the "Church" of Scientology and their many human rights abuses. (For more information about Scientology's abuses please check out Xenutv.com) It is important to note here that we target only the corrupt organization and not the faith. As evidence of this we actively promote and support the Freezone, (The Scientologists Freezone) an independent group of Scientologists who practice the peculiar believes of Scientology outside the restrictive confines of the official church. On February 10th of 2008 Anonymous successfully organized peaceful protests in front of Scientology church and centers in over 100 cities worldwide, with an estimated attendance of somewhere around 8,000 people. This was our first in-real-life (IRL) protest, so the above video can not even have occurred. I realize what I state next may seem bizarre, but please follow along with me. The Church of Scientology has a well established policy for dealing with critics called "Fair Game". Fair Game, in the words of Scientology Prophet (And Sci-Fi writer) Lafayette Ronald Hubbard is:

"SP Order. Fair game. May be deprived of property or injured by any means by any Scientologist without any discipline of the Scientologist. May be tricked, sued or lied to or destroyed."

A "SP" is a suppressive person, or anyone deemed by Scientology to be impairing the goals of Scientology in some way. Critics and ex-members of the church are commonly labeled SP. Hubbard further clarified what sort of person would commit "suppressive acts" with this statement:

"Suppressive Acts are clearly those covert or overt acts knowingly calculated to reduce or destroy the influence or activities of Scientology or prevent case gains or continued Scientology success and activity on the part of a Scientologist. As persons or groups that would do such a thing act out of self interest only to the detriment of all others, they cannot be granted the rights and being ness ordinarily accorded rational beings and so place themselves beyond any consideration for their feelings or well being."

Officially the policy of Fair Game was discontinued, at least in name. If you read the official declaration it makes clear that only the name of fair gaming would be discontinued, and not the practice itself. There are as a result, some rather famous examples of Scientology's Fair Game policy in action.

Operation Freakout ( Operation Freakout - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ) was an attempt by Scientology to have Paulette Cooper framed for a bomb threat, in addition to a variety of other harassing activities. In short Scientology broke into Paulette's house and stole some paper with her fingerprints on them, forged a bomb threat on said paper, and proceeded to mail it to the US Government. Thankfully, the FBI was able to unravel to true culprits behind this act, and MS Cooper was not imprisoned.

Operation Snow White: ( Operation Snow White - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ) was the Church of Scientology's name for a project during the 1970s to purge unfavorable records about Scientology and its founder L. Ron Hubbard. This project included a series of infiltrations and thefts from 136 government agencies, foreign embassies and consulates, as well as private organizations critical of Scientology, carried out by Church members; the single largest infiltration of the United States government in history with up to 5,000 covert agents. In the end the operation was exposed (Hubbard’s wife was sent to prison as a result. He never spoke to her again. Stand up guy) and a round of convictions followed.

This all brings us to our current issue. The "Church" (Cult) of Scientology is attempting to spread Black Page Ranking about anonymous. They have previously posted bomb threats and murder threats in our name. Now they come after Catholics in an attempt to stir up anger towards us. No anonymous is campaigning against Catholicism, and there are no scheduled anonymous protests on Easter. We ask that you please go check Enturbulation.org to see that we are only targeting Scientology, and no one else.

The video above is a very poorly chopped and photoshopped (the act of using photo editing software) attempt. As you can see in this thread ( Enturbulation.org – View topic - FLAG THIS! Anon Vs. Catholic Church youtube ) there are many very sloppy and amateur mistakes to be found. The video also makes mention of a blog website to visit. We ask that you DO NOT visit the WEBSITE MENTIONED IN THE VIDEO because it is a honeypot site that will attempt to attack and overwhelm your firewall if you visit which is a bad thing. In closing we ask that you do not fall for this black Page Ranking attempt. We ask that you research our claims about Scientology and come to your own conclusions. There are many valid reasons to protest this church. Just one example I will list is their policy of enforced abortions on staff members.
