Icon5 baptism gown??

HI,

I am having a hard time finding a christening gown in any of the dept. stores. They have them to order over the web, but i want to see them in person. Plus, I don't want to spend too much on it, and all the ones i've seen are $50+. Any ideas?? Thanks so much.

Do you have any in your family? I used one that my Mom, and my Aunts and Uncles used...as well as my sister and myself.
If not, have you checked any Catholic book stores in your area? I know specialty stores have them as well.

For my dd I used dh's family's gown. For ds I bought a new one.. spent way too much money but hopefully, it'll be used for years to come.

We have a family one too, on DHs side - almost all the grandkids have been baptised in it.

I know what you mean about finding a new one, hardly anywhere sells them. I would suggest Fenwick if you lived in the UK, I'm not sure what the US equivalent is.

My mom has made one for each of my children, so that is what we are doing. Does anyone in your family like to sew??

A store I love that has a lot of beautiful Christening and Special Occasion dresses is called Strasburg Children. We have an outlet store near us, but they are also on the web. They have some beautiful gowns-- but they may be kinda $$$.

Best wishes on your search!

Hi

We bought ours at Babies R Us. It was only about $30 and was really very pretty!
