summer club prayers

Firstly apologies about not being around or posting much. I cant get into this site in the library so access is heavily restricted and time is in short supply at the moment.

On monday our church summer club begins for a week this monday (7th August). God has given us roughly 30 kids to work with so please pray for everything that you can think of. We have never done this before, none of us, so it really is God leading, this is no other way.

May not be able to do this daily.

Day one feedback.

19 out 27 kids came of which over half are kids from the area ie dont normally come to CW. They really enjoyed it from all reports and they also got the point of it all in that its about Jesus. For a first day to get that across so easily is very encouraging. Obviously the whole point is to get them to know what Jesus did and that is what will happen throughout the week. Praise God for His faithfulness in all this.

Oh am I excited for you and your groups opportunity!! I pray that you lead these kids to the Lord....and hope that you have a fun time this summer!!

Right a brief overview.

It was a massive success, Praise God. All the kids (except 2 who has a birthday thing on) their parents, friends and others came to the celebration on sunday and the place was packed. The kids really had a great time and really got the message that Jesus is the best superhero ever (that was the theme). We had kids asking for bibles and it really made an impact on them. Whether or not they come on sunday is down to God really, we have done our bit. However God was so faithful in the whole thing.

We now have a weekly club opening up on a wednesday night, starting september, and the majority said they would come to that. The changes in the neighbourhood are amazing, however do not compare to the changes in the kids. They were so polite and well behaved. God is so moving in them.

Whatever happens now the seed has been planted in them. Please pray for the kids, parents and the weekly club.

Its amazing that we had no idea what we were doing the whole way thru but simply by following God and letting Him lead us and be in charge at all times it wasnt at any point a hassle but always fun, tiring but fun.
