Do you think teaching your kids "pre-written prayers" is a good idea or bad idea?

A while ago we taught the girls "Thank you Jesus" for meals. I really regrete it. Before we taught them that both of them would pray - haha you couldn't understand most of what they were saying but we know God did. Once taught them that "pre-written" one though they would sing it for everything, meals, bedtimes, etc. It really bothered me when they did it at bedtime b/c I know they aren't understanding like they once did. What do you think?

Well I think memorized prayers are good to get them in the habit of praying for diffrent situations. I also pray out loud so my children will understand that you can talk to God like a friend. It's a good way to build that relationship of just talking to God and learning what that means.
