Default Jesus Christ came in the Flesh

Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house or welcome him. Anyone who welcomes him shares in his wicked work. (2 John 1:9-11)

There is no greater evil than to fail to recognize who Jesus Christ is, God in the flesh. God has tried from the beginning of time to build a bridge to humankind. He gave men and women His laws and yet they failed to obey. Then the Lord sent His prophets. But the people refused to listen. And finally, He sent Jesus, to show us how to live upon the earth. And instead of responding to His offer of salvation, men nailed Him to a cross.

Today's Scripture warns against false teachings. The apostle Paul also issued an urgent caution: "I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people." (Romans 16:17-18)

Prayer - Lord, strengthen my faith so that I can love those who don't know You, so that I can reveal the true identity of Your son.
