was it a Bible believing church? It was a Methodist church. As far as I know they(the one I went to as a child)is very much a Bible believing church. Things that are wrong are wrong, things that are right and TRUE are right and TRUE. They don't twist things.
Are your parents born again Christians? I honestly don't know

Re: How were you raised?
we went to church about 33% of the time, always to the same church. It seemed like more of a social gathering. I don't remember ever hearing the gospel or being given the invitation to receive Christ. My dad is not a Christian. My mom says she is a Christian, but I don't know if she is a believer.

Re: How were you raised?
Did you grow up going to church? No, I went primarily with friends to Baptists churches, a handful of times with mom to a Methodist church but not regularly till I went by myself to church in high school. I went without my parents pretty much.
Was it a Bible believing church? I attended various ones - baptist, methodist until I settled on a Church of Christ in high school, I attend regularly since then.
Are your parents born again Christians? This response is different depending on who you ask. My parents were raised differently and didn't want to push a denomination on the kids as my dad was Church of Christ, my mom was Methodist so since they couldn't agree on anything, we didn't go but a handful of times (mainly Easter, and Christmas). If you define born again as being baptized in the immersion of water, then my dad is and my mom is not (since Methodists do not encourage that). But if you define it as asking Jesus to come into your life, then I'm not sure.
Growing up with these differences actually was a good thing, although sad because it made me determined to understand Christianity and the differences in denominations and why I would choose to believe one church doctrine over another and want to fully appreciate the Bible, not just a 'church'. In other words, it had me researching everything and a lot of folks never do this (simply go to where they've gone all their lives, and never questioned certain aspects). As a result, I studied and co-majored in religion in college and was a part of bible studies with people of all different faiths, denominations. Very enriching and also made a vow to marry someone that had my similar beliefs so I would never put my kids through what I went through (not being able to agree). And my husband and I share everything about our faith and go to church together as real spiritual partners. He's truly my soul mate.

Re: How were you raised?
Did you grow up going to church? Yes, was made to by my parents to go to Church of Scotland so that they were given a rest on a sunday, i do have rague memories of sitting thru a service with them but could have been school prizegiving (a normal primary school service but for this was held in a church for some reason). Found it incredibly boring and irrelevent and left at the first opportunity.
was it a Bible believing church? Yes. Only remember being taught that Jesus was good, we werent, tho i hardly paid any attention to what we were told, so that might be incorrect. As said above found it very dull, which is why im so keen (and very happy) that the sunday's cool service for Calvary Way is very upbeat and lively but biblically sound.
Are your parents born again Christians? No. My mum has said to me that she will never belief. My dad comes along and im not entirely sure where he stands with it all but he hasnt yet invited Christ into his life. None of my family believe in Christ.
God bless,
Matthew

Re: How were you raised?
Did you grow up going to church?
~ yes - every Sunday morning and evening
was it a Bible believing church?
~ very much so!
Are your parents born again Christians?
~ yes they are - although my mom was raised in a born-again home while my dad was raised in a non-religious home, so they would often clash on certain things (television, movies etc)
