The Catholic church as well as the Church of England are protesting against being made to give children to gay couples and are asking to be allowed to opt out. The latest details in the link below but other details can be found in the See Also section on the left.

I have not seen an update yet, but I hope that they are able to opt out without having to close down their agencies as the article states. Whatever happened to seperation of chirch and state, shouldn't this apply here?!?!

Here are links to the latest outcome. The Prime Minister says that the Catholic Church cannot be allowed to opt out but will have 21 months to adapt.
How they can adapt to the law is one i dont see possible. Either you do or you dont let children be adopted by Gay parents.
