True. God will never go against His character. If He did, we couldnt rely on him 100% in complete confidence.

Malachi 3:6(a) "I the Lord do not change"

Off topic but along the same lines. I love this in Proverbs.
Proverbs 6:16-19 (NIV) There are six things the LORD hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
a false witness who pours out lies
and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.

well, yeah - because God gave us free will, He will not compel us to do anything. we have to choose to love Him.

Re: 4 things God can't do...
I dont know. He does know who will be saved tho, well thats my belief. I get that from our all days being ordained. Its a strange one as i find it very complicated and i confuse myself. I believe Gods will is that everyone would be saved (ezekial 33:11 but is that reading it in the right context - its also in the NT but i cant remember where) but we know that that wont happen. Therefore is Gods will not achieved in this area? Does God not get his way?Does God create people knowing that they will go to hell and be seperated for ever? Everybody will get the opportunity to hear the message. M<ore importanly tho God is just (Job 34:12, Revelation 16:7).
I dont believe that God would over-ride our own free will and therefore we are responsible for what we do. He would put up warning signs tho at the beginning. I do believe that that warnings would get less and less the more that we disobey, ignore them tho.
One question is do we have free will before we are saved? I know people who say we dont. However therefore how could we be held responsible for our actions if we are not able to make the choice what to do in each circumstance as we are slaves to sin and have no freewill to say no. Again God is just and wouldnt condemn an innocent person. Also go out and try to get someone to come to Christ saying to them they have no freewill, they would leave it as its already been determined therefore.
It raises many questions and i dont have a clue what the final answer is.
God bless,
Matthew

Re: 4 things God can't do...
Thats another question entirely. When we do go and be with Jesus will we ask Him all these questions that we are storing up? Personally i cant see me doing that, the sheer joy of finally being there will wipe them away and i doubt i'll even care. Down here, yeah and i dont like not knowing the answer, in the end God is just.
God bless,
Matthew
