Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

The things of this world are not as impartant as what is in the spiritual world KWIM?

We should concertrate on God and not the things of the world.

ditto what was said.... I often remember this Word when I'm going through a difficult time and things "seem" unbearable or unacceptable. The Word brings me back to focus on what is unseen (but present) and can change my present/seen (difficult at that time) situation to what I desire or what the Lord promised.

A few eg's would be during personal sickness, financial difficulties, when my extended family was attacked in their home almost killed and big brother had to go through numerous surgeries, when the twins were born and spent a few months in NICU and Liam had to have surgery as well, there were so many touch and go situations and the Lord's word to us was to "Speak the word ONLY". This sustained us and brought us through. I'm still reminded to do the same even today.

"For we walk faith and not by sight. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not (yet) seen". I have found that the longer I'm alive the more I live by these verses (icluding the one one referenced in this thread). The Word is "Spirit and Life".

God is faithful. Concentrate, focus and rely on him and we'll get thru. Nothing on this planet is important in the end and will all wasteaway, just stick with God and follow his plans for us.

I have a wonderful e-mail where i wrote down all the problems in my life and sent it to the pastor. He went thru and answered all of them one by one but somewhere was written something like shut up, stop complaining and get your eyes on Jesus. Exactly what had to be said to get me back hidden in Christ fighting and thru Gods grace managed to get thru.
