This is the First week of school we have had 3.5 days so far. Yesterday a note came home from our principle. On Thursday just after lunch 2 boys went to him and said another boy had a GUN in his back pack. The back pack was seized and searched. They found an air be be gun that shoots small plastic pebbles. The gun itself looked like a "real" gun.

Now why on earth would a child bring a gun ~ I know to show off. But geeze this is the first week of school and we are already have weapons scares. And we live in a really good neighborhood with National Excelling schools. You would think the parents would take some responsiblity - nope!

My mom (a couple of years ago) lifted a loaded gun off a kindergartener - she saw it when he pulled it out at lunch to show off. It kills me to think of how quickly there could have been an irreversible accident.
