Re: Playgroup rant
Playgroups, and really any type of group, morph.
Over time, Sally will invite Suzi to join, who in turn invites Betty, who invites Joan...next thing you know Joan invites Fred....you see what I mean...YOU have nothing in common with Betty, little lone Joan and Fred.
So, that said, maybe it's time to start your own offset of the big playgroup, and invite a few of the AP moms to join you.
And be prepared for the new group to morph as well...that's just what happens.
I have a group of friends I get together with for lunch on Thursdays.
It started out as 4 of us from church, young moms.
Now it's about 9 gals from different churchs, school groups, inlaws, etc.
And it's great, but not as intimate as when it was just us 4.....
but sometimes, us 4 meet in "secret" and have a small get together. Sometimes I get together for lunch or playdates with some of the newer women.....
So, that's my advice, and understanding of the Sit.
If you cannot stand the new women. Stop going, and start your own group.
HUGS!
I hope this info helps you!!
