Default nasty neighbors

i have never posted at this place -- only the cloth diaper page but i am sooooo angry!
my lovely family and I moved a year ago to a vacant lot and have spent a year fixing the place up and these jerky neighbors whose property boarders ours are so annoyed that we insist they stop using our yard as communal property. this means moving their plants off of our land, stop playing on our land, etc, etc. we have tried to be so nice especially giving them over a year to move their stuff off our property but Gosh - can you imagine if I just let me kids run all over everyone's yard or was angry at a neighbor for their landscaping choices? I mean, why do people care if I buy a swing set or build a sandbox? This one women in particular - I feel bad for her grown children - she must have really been a boring mother - she wonders why can't you leave it natural and overgrown? WHY????? because its my f@#*ing backyard and I want my kids to play there!! Do we have to put up an 8 foot fence or something? The latest is calling the city about how the land is all of a sudden flooding - I mean MF If this family didn't bury some major crap in there YEARS before we moved in it wouldn't be so soggy and you know what... we paid so much money for a soil erosion plan to make sure we could feel good and responsible about any lanscaping choices we were making -
i know i always tell my kids to always be kind no matter what... it is getting harder and harder to walk my talk.

Oh, I feel your pain. We bought this house in Jan of 2001. We were told that the house next to us was owned by a nice old man who works for the vets office at the local courthouse. Ya, he owns it, but he rents it out! TO A BUNCH OF LOOSERS!!! I'm not kidding, since moving into our house we have had 6 renters nextdoor and they get worse everytime! The latest bunch have been there for about a year. They had a german sheppard who did nothing but bark and lunge at my kids. One day I was going out to hang up laundry and the dog lunged at me and tried to bite me. He got clobbered with my laundry basket. I called the cops and they were forced to get rid of it. They have a 3 year old son who doesn't walk or talk yet. Well no wonder, the plop him infront of the tv in a bean bag chair all day long. They keep their front door open all of the time and we smell this aweful smell. I go over to talk to them and it's THEIR HOUSE!! She never cleans her house or around the outside of her house. Their dog has been gone for 3 weeks now and there is still dog droppings everywhere and it smells. Oh ya and they are on week #6 for their garage sale. It's an everyday thing. HELLO!!! Take the hit no one wants to buy your crap! Feel free to vent, I can relate!!!!!

I hope they aren't awful!

Bad neighbors can ruin a good house. We've lived in our house for 7 years now. If I had known my neighbors before buying the house I would have looked somewhere else. They have 8 dogs...all outside. They bark at all hours of the day. The have 2 small size dogs that they let run free in town (no leash). They don't bite or not yet but they like to lunge at you. Mind you I have 2 dogs but one dog is in the house and my outside dog is so old he doesn't care to bark. They've called the cops on us for 'noise violence' due to our dog barking. This was when we first moved in. Of course our dog was barking...there's were too but of course they pulled all 8 dogs in the house before the dogs showed up. My kids also cannot use 'their' sidewalk and they think they own the alley that wraps around the backs of both of ours houses. It's been a real joy. I can't wait until their kids are grown and then maybe they will move. Oh yeah...they have 5 kids. I have 3 so I'm not opposed to the # of kids. The problem is they don't take care of them. If you walk out my back door you will be sure to hear an ear-full of cuss words and they've had some problems with the law. They apparently like to steal and vandalize. It is worth meeting your neighbors before you buy.
