I'm not cooking anymore until my kitchen is clean!!!!

Yup that is right!!!! I refuse. My husband, 16 year old stepson and I take turns doing the dishes. We don't have a dishwasher and have to do them by hand. Well, DSS was supposed to do them on Wed. of last week and didn't, then Thurs...did a few but didn't finish. Fri, he went to his Mom's for the weekend....so DH said to leave the dishes. Monday, he started to do the dishes, but the faucet stopped running when he started using the sprayer....don't know why, but he STILL hasn't finished them. The faucet isn't working at all now...just the sprayer. He could wash them with the sprayer, but won't.

AND DH IS DOING NOTHING!!!!

Therefore, I am going to do nothing!!! Meaning...I am not going to cook. I'll just let them live in the mess and eat sandwiches until my kitchen is clean.

Am I being silly? What would you do?

I would do the same thing. Go on strike girl!!!!

Just make sure they know that they are on their own when it comes to meals until the kitchen is clean.

Well, I fed DH a ham sandwich tonight on a paper plate. He and I took apart the faucet and fixed it. He told his son to do part of the dishes and said that he, DH, would finish them tomorrow. If they ain't done, we're eating sandwiches again!

Oh and the faucet was GROSS!!!! There was some kind of black flakes in there that was preventing the valve from moving. DH has sworn off drinking the water unless it has been boiled. AND after fussing at me for weeks (after hurricane Katrina) for refusing to drink the tap water....is now telling me that I shouldn't be drinking the water!!!!

And I would do the same thing - I live with my brother and mom, and we trade off also. Well my brother being the stubborn b!tch he is, refuses to do them even though the majority is all his! Well I go on strike also and demand him to get it done or he wont be asking me to run ANY more erronds or do any favors for him for the rest of his life....He usually does them the next day. But its the principle of the thing KWIM.
