I swear does every single person I know have to be a flake? Even my own mother will make plans with me and then flake out at the last minute. I am starting to get used to it with her but today another flake emerges.

Friend of mine who's 9 months pregnant asked me to go to babies R Us with her to help her register for her baby shower. Then we were supposed to go out for lunch afterward. We talked yesterday and she said that wants me to bring Irrissa along. She said she'd call me today and we would pick a time and the final details. So today I was out all day I get home and there is no messages from her on my machine. So I go ahead and call her and I get her machine so I say that I was worried I may have missed her call but to go ahead and call me when she got in so we could work out what time we are getting together tomorrow. Now it's 11:30p.m. and guess who hasn't called.

Maybe this wouldn't be that big of a deal if this didn't happen to me all of the time. But now I am upset. I cannot just go whenever she feels like getting up tomorrow and giving me a call. I have a baby to think about and a life. It just burns me up that people can be so rude. I can understand something coming up, but at least call me before the day of and tell me. Or if you can make it wouldn't it make sense to call me so I know when? I think she'll be in for a rude awakening when her baby comes and she realizes people can't just get up and go whenever they want to.

Now if she has a really good excuse for not calling, family emergency or whatever then that's one thing. But in my experience that's never the case. What ever happened to common courtsey?

LeeAnna - I hear you. That really gets on my nerves as well.

With four kids, two dogs and a cat, a DH who works 60+ hours a week and the fact that I am a full time college student, I also have to plan things well in advance.

I really hate when my friends or associates (co-college students) call me at the last minute wanting to do something. I can't be spontaneous with a large family.

Hopefully she has a really good reason!
