First of all WELCOME!!

And yes, SOME liberals are overly sensitive. I could get offended by the many blinkies implying that Republicans are some how stupid, or hate mongers, but for the most part I shake my head and laugh.

I am sure that these same women would argue that Republican's somehow try to stiffle free speech. Yet, they can't see how they are trying to stiffle yours. I don't see how your sig can be seen as "in your face offensive" It is very modest and that babe of yours is the cutest!

So, post over here more often, the water is shark free!

Hey, welcome to the board, Ashlee! I don't blame you for getting disgusted over that post. I am glad that your husband jumped in and responded. It's a well-thought out post.

I've always found the Democratic platform to be an emotional one. I guess that's why Churchill said, "If you're not a liberal by the time you're twenty you have no heart, and if you're not a conservative by the time you're thirty you have no brain." I may be off a little, but that's the jist of his quote. Unfortunately, many people never get past emotional reactions to the issues, and into the actual reasoning of them. Like the woman who posted that she wanted her brother to come back from Iraq and that's why she's voting Dem. Doesn't she ever think about why we went there? We truly have made this country a bit safer by getting rid of Hussein. People shouldn't be fooled that we went there for the good of the Iraqui people...it was for the safety of our own citizens, and that's the way it should be.

And the woman who says she's liberal-minded but doesn't want other people's money. I guess she doesn't mind giving up her own? Sheesh.

Anyway, welcome...and post lots!

I must've missed out on something, somebody was offended by you sig? What exactly offended them. I'm not one who is considered pro-life (even though I couldn't ever have an abortion), but I can find nothing offensive about your sig. Whoever is offended needs to grow a tougher skin or just close their eyes when your sig is up on their screen.

Doesn't she listen to John Kerry should be the real question. John Kerry has no intention of pulling our guys our of Iraq. He said he would have still voted to go to war with Iraq.

So I just don't think that voting for Kerry is going to bring her brother home. Infact I think what it will do is put him in more danger. BUT that is the problem with people being uninformed, all we can do is inform them and help them see the light.
