I'm calling it for Dick Cheney. He was so articulate, thorough and the embodiment of what #2 should be. Edwards couldn't match his breadth & depth of knowledge ~ there is a more than a generation gap between the two; there is a wisdom gap. What are others' opinions?

I thought CHeney did great. I loved when he said that one of his responsibilities as VP is to oversee the Senate, and the first time he met Edwards was on that stage. I read today that he met him briefly before, but I think he got his point across...Edwards is an absentee senator.
I think it was close but in the end Cheney won. Edwards looked like a young'n and was on the defensive most of the time. Cheney got me laughing a couple of times too..
I also thought that Chaney did great and I also agree that Edwards seemed on the defensive. Chaney seemed very knowledgeable and had an answer for everything. I also really liked, on several occasions, during his rebutal he was given 90 seconds and just said what he felt needed to be said and didn't talk to hear himself talking for the whole 90 seconds.
Cheyney is the clear winner here. Edwards looked like a little punk!! Oh wait, he IS a little punk. It was like watching a debate with a pitbull and a poodle. One guess who the poodle is.
