Default Kerry Campaign & Free Speech Don't Mesh

I was reading through Drudge and apparently the Kerry campaign has called for a ban on the Unfit for Command book (republican board watchers, Snopes it if ya like ) . It apparently came from Salon.com, a leftwing rag, so there's no way they can call this a smear by the right wing conspiracy. I pulled up Salon.com but they wanted me to sit through advertising to go through the whole thing, that or actually pay for a subscription. Anyway, here's a little something about freedom of speech loving Kerry campaign and an example of the double standard liberals have when it comes to free speech and crying about book banning. http://www.salon.com/news/feature/20.../index_np.html

"Unfit for bookstores
The Kerry campaign calls on a conservative publisher to withdraw book after the Washington Post torpedoes the veracity of a Swift boat veteran.

Aug. 19, 2004 | The Kerry campaign has told Salon that the publisher of "Unfit for Command," the book that is at the center of the attack on Kerry's military record by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, is retailing a hoax and should consider withdrawing it from bookstores. "No publisher should want to be selling books with proven falsehoods in them, especially falsehoods that are meant to smear the military service of an American veteran," said Kerry campaign spokesman Chad Clanton. "If I were them, I'd be ducking under my desk wondering what to do. This is a serious problem."

Even some uncomfortable Republicans might breathe a sigh a relief if "Unfit for Command" were to vanish from bookstores: "I don't think the Swift Boat Veterans are helping the Republican cause," Rep. Christopher Shays, R-Conn., remarked on CNN Thursday. "

Funny how the Dems continue to remain so desperate, they allow themselves...or , better yet, choose to be blinded to all this double standard crap. Dems are now soooooooo desperate because they have lost their monopoly, and do not know how to react to the facts. The only way they can support their cause is by attempting to dis-credit the sources of these facts. That is just

Hey...for all you lurkers out there...It's not working!

Doesn't surprise me that Kerry is trying to remove the issue of the discrepencies out there regarding his war record. You're not supposed to look any further than the fact that he served, not at the possibility of him not having whole-heartedly earned his purple hearts as others before and with him. Nor are you supposed to even consider that he may have only done things for the purpose of looking good in the eyes of the public when he ran for the senate and now for president.

Funny how liberals choose to ignore George Soros and all the money he is donating through Moveon.org to oust Bush. Didn't he say he was going to make it his life mission to remove Bush? He sure must not have much of a life if that is his only goal.

Anyway - regardless of this, I am sure that truth will prevail and that Flip-flop and Mop-top will not be elected into office come November.
